How to create a B2B marketing plan with Margo

Margo helps you create a clear, actionable B2B marketing plan with a longer-term view of your overall marketing activity.

Margo’s marketing plans are designed for quarterly or annual planning. They give you a top-level view of what to focus on, who to target, where to prioritise activity, and how your marketing efforts fit together across your company, portfolio, or product.


1. Create a new plan

Log into your Margo account. From the left hand side navigation, select Generate a plan.


2. Choose your plan type

Pick the plan that best fits what you’re trying to accomplish:

  • Marketing plans
    Ideal for long-term planning (quarterly or annual) with a clear, top-level view

3. Set up your plan

Choose what the plan is for (company, portfolio, or product). Note that you can select multiple offerings.

Customise your plan by:

  • Target geography
  • Goals
  • Ideal customer profile(s)
  • Persona(s)
  • Duration
  • Budget
  • Launch date

You can also add notes to give Margo more context — anything that helps shape a better plan.


4. Generate and refine your plan

Give your plan a name then click Preview plan.

Margo will generate your plan in a few minutes.

From there, you can:

  • Edit any section
  • Fine-tune the details
  • Download it as a Word document

5. Save your plan for later

Your plan will be saved in Saved plans, so you can revisit, review, and update it anytime.
