How to create a B2B content plan with Margo


Margo helps you create a clear, actionable B2B content plan built around your audience’s needs.

Content plans are designed to recommend the right long-form and short-form content to create, who it should speak to, what topics to cover, and how each piece can support your marketing goals.


1. Create a new plan

Log into your Margo account. From the left hand side navigation, select Generate a plan.


2. Choose your plan type

Pick the plan that best fits what you’re trying to accomplish:

  • Content plans
    Designed to generate content ideas that guide your audience toward purchase

3. Set up your plan

Choose what the plan is for (company, portfolio, or product). Note, you can select multiple offerings.

Customise your plan by:

  • Target geography
  • Goals
  • Ideal customer profile(s)
  • Persona(s)
  • Duration
  • Budget
  • Launch date

You can also add notes to give Margo more context — anything that helps shape a better plan.


4. Generate and refine your plan

Give your plan a name and click Preview plan.

Margo will generate your plan in a few minutes.

From there, you can:

  • Edit any section
  • Fine-tune the details
  • Download it as a Word document

5. Save your plan for later

Your plan will be saved in Saved plans, so you can revisit, review, and update it anytime.
