How to create an ABM plan with Margo


Margo helps you create a clear, actionable B2B ABM plan focused on your key accounts.

ABM plans are designed to help marketing and sales work together to engage priority accounts, build stronger relationships, and move them through the funnel. They include recommended ABM engagement plays, messaging, channels, and sales actions tailored to the accounts you want to reach.


1. Create a new plan

Log into your Margo account. From the left hand side navigation, select Generate a plan.


2. Choose your plan type

Pick the plan that best fits what you’re trying to accomplish:

  • ABM plans
  • Best for targeting specific companies or key accounts, closely aligned with sales

3. Set up your plan

Choose what the plan is for (company, portfolio, or product). Note, you can select multiple offerings.

Customise your plan by:

  • Target geography
  • Goals
  • Ideal customer profile(s)
  • Persona(s)
  • Duration
  • Budget
  • Launch date

You can also add notes to give Margo more context — anything that helps shape a better plan.


4. Generate and refine your plan

Give your plan a name and click Preview plan.

Margo will generate your plan in a few minutes.

From there, you can:

  • Edit any section
  • Fine-tune the details
  • Download it as a Word document

5. Save your plan for later

Your plan will be saved in Saved plans, so you can revisit, review, and update it anytime.
