How to create a B2B go-to-market plan with Margo

Margo’s go-to-market plans are designed for launching or relaunching a specific product, service, feature, or product update.

They give you a focused view of what you’re taking to market, who you’re targeting, how to position it, where to prioritise activity, and how your launch efforts should come together.


1. Create a new plan

Log into your Margo account. From the left hand side navigation, select Generate a plan.


2. Choose your plan type

Pick the plan that best fits what you’re trying to accomplish:

  • Go-to-market plans
    Perfect for launching or relaunching a product, service, or feature

3. Set up your plan

Choose what the plan is for (company, portfolio, or product). For go-to-market plans, we suggest selecting just one offering.

Customise your plan:

  • Target geography
  • Goals
  • Ideal customer profile(s)
  • Persona(s)
  • Duration
  • Budget
  • Launch date

You can also add notes to give Margo more context — anything that helps shape a better plan.


4. Generate and refine your plan

Give your plan a name and click Preview plan.

Margo will generate your plan in a few minutes.

From there, you can:

  • Edit any section
  • Fine-tune the details
  • Download it as a Word document

5. Save your plan for later

Your plan will be saved in Saved plans, so you can revisit, review, and update it anytime.
