Adding new competitors in Margo

How to add a new competitor in Margo

Margo helps you identify and build out your competitors, based on overlapping propositions, shared geographies, and similar target audiences.

When you get started, Margo will automatically create a set of fully built competitor profiles, giving you a clear view of who you’re up against.

You can also explore additional competitors — or add your own competitor in Margo — whenever you need to.

1. Generate and explore competitors

Head to:
Competitors → Generate competitors

From here, you can:

  • Browse the list of suggested competitors
  • Select one to turn into a full profile

Once selected, Margo will automatically:

  • Build out the full competitor profile
  • Map their positioning, strengths, and areas of overlap with your business

2. Add your own competitor

If you don’t see what you’re looking for, you can add your own.

  • Select Add known competitor
  • Enter a short description or company name

Margo will take it from there, building out the full profile for you.
